Fred Ionta, arrived from Italy, at 12 years of age. When he turned 15, he started to cut hair and after a few years opened his first business in 1970 in The Bronx, NY. At the end of 1973 he opened his second salon in the City of Yonkers, NY.

Currently, Fred's Hair Salon is located in Katonah, NY where it has been since 1983.
